Philip McLain, MD
Dr. McLain was born in Dallas, Texas. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. After graduating from the University of Texas McGovern School of Medicine, Dr. McLain completed his dermatology training at The University of Texas MD-Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. McLain enjoys seeing patients of all ages and treats both common and rare conditions. He has particular interests in the fields of procedural dermatology and cancer prevention. Dr. McLain is published in several medical journals, including Dermatology Practical and Conceptual and The Journal of Cutaneous Pathology. Dr. McLain also participates in regular medical conferences, notably winning Dermatology Jeopardy at the annual meeting of the Texas Dermatology Society in 2018.
Dr. McLain is Board Certified in Dermatology. He is an active member of several professional societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, Washington State Dermatology Association, South Sound Dermatology Society, and the American Medical Association. In his spare time, Dr. McLain enjoys the outdoors with his wife, Taylor, playing guitar, chess, and reading.
